BIOGRAPHY
J+M Creative is the London based team of Jolyon Grose and Matt Rothwell, copywriter and art director/designer respectively.
Between them, Matt and Jolyon bring over 40 years of creative experience to every brief. They’ve worked across some of the most culturally connected categories in advertising – financial services, food and drink, music, sport and lifestyle – building campaigns that resonate with real people in real moments.
Jolyon is a Senior Copywriter and tone of voice specialist who spent eight years as Head of Copy at Octagon Frukt, the IPG-network agency at the intersection of music, sport and culture. He’s helped win pitches for Coca-Cola, Vodafone and Nintendo, written activations for Sipsmith at Wimbledon, and shaped the brand voice for drinks brands including Whyte & Mackay whisky and El Tesoro tequila. He writes across every channel and adapts fluidly to any brand, whether building a voice from scratch or slotting seamlessly into an existing one.
Matt is an Art Director and Strategic Design Creative whose portfolio spans brand, integrated campaigns and identity work for some of the world’s most recognised names; Royal Bank of Scotland, Commercial Bank of Dubai and BSkyB among them and his work on the ITV rebrand earned a Cannes Design Lions Bronze. He’s equally at home leading a creative studio or working as a hands-on creative, bringing a strategic sharpness to visual ideas that goes well beyond aesthetics.
